The Unsinkable Titanic

When the Titanic was built,it was the largest ship in the world. It was 882.5 feet long,and weighed more than 46,000 tons. It was not only the largest ship in the world it was also the most luxurious. First class suites cost about $50,000 in today's rates. More important, it was supposed to be unsinkable. It was built with compartments were punctured the builders believed that the ship wouldn't sink up to two to three days.
this would allow plenty of time to get help.

In, April 1912 the Titanic sailed from Southampton England on its way to New York City. On board was Thomas Andrews the designer of the ship. As the ship cruised along messages were received from another steamer that large icebergs have been spotted in the area. The basic cause of the tradegy seems to have been poor seamanship.  There were  a number of
